Sweating is annoying. Each of us knows it. That uncomfortable, damp feeling of sweaty clothes. Many people suffer from excessive sweating.

Children and especially babies often sweat a lot. The background and what you can do to prevent babies from sweating are known and one of the best remedies is to pay attention to the right clothing.

There are many home remedies for adults (we are particular fans of baking soda - a real miracle cure), but for babies the options are still very limited - creams, oils and the like often even encourage sweating and can even dry out baby's sensitive skin more protect - everyone should try for themselves what is good for their own baby.

Glückskind fabrics are guaranteed to be plastic-free (no polyster, nylon or other petroleum on the skin!), but also cotton-free . No cotton? At least organic cotton should be something good. Sustainable and fair? In reality, this is not that easy: the textile industry as a whole (and a large part of it the cotton industry) has a very strong influence on the climate and our environment - according to a study by the Swiss sustainability consultancy Quantis, textiles are responsible for 5-10% of global environmental pollution and approx. 8% of global climate impact. Cotton cannot be air-conditioned either, it is “solid” and always the same. Once wet it becomes cold and uncomfortable.

Organic fabrics, for example made of merino wool or silk, "breathe" - they can adapt to the temperature and provide air conditioning: " warm when it is cold and cool when it is warm " - really practical.

Glückskind pants and shirts (also T-shirts in summer) are also particularly suitable for sleeping. You simply sweat less and sleep better. For very small babies, we always recommend only long-sleeved clothing, especially because of the UV rays that should not come directly to sensitive baby skin).

And especially with bodysuits and the particularly practical wrap-around bodysuits , you save a lot of time changing, as you can simply wear wool-silk clothing for longer at a time - even for a whole week - day and night!
